Obsidian users should pay attention to the size of their attachments folders. I found several notes today, all downloaded web pages, that had over 100MB of attached files. I used ImageOptim to compress the images, making my vault smaller and syncing faster. #Obsidian #ObsidianMD #PKM

Is #PKM bullshit? Only when it is technology-centric, and not a set of processes, individually constructed, to help each of us make sense of our world and work more effectively. The bullshit is believing in a technology silver bullet, but unfortunately BS sells.

Hard work and discipline do not scale and that is what personal knowledge mastery is all about. This makes #PKMastery a hard sell.

Currently I have 79MB of .org files in ~/org. That's 7608 files, 1631829 lines of text, 83849 headlines, and 8339921 words. The largest single file is 1.4MB and the longest lined file has 26370 lines.

Tip of the day: In many documents, there is a need to divide content, breaking it into discrete sections. Navigating those sections can be done with the help of a table of contents.
