New on the blog: The one where I present you 10 prointless facts about myself as prompted by @daj@gofer.social in his recent blog post.
I also updated my stylesheet and added a page for my Python art.

New on the blog: The one where I talk about my name.
This is a reply to @joel@fosstodon.org's blog post. I've been meaning to write about my name for a while, so this was the nudge I needed.

After wondering why the screen reader wasn't working with Flatpak versions of Chromium and GNOME Web, I figured I should document this somewhere

New on the blog: My first German language blog post.

I wrote a blog. It's about how I want to use social media. I have talked about it a while ago already (here in the fedi), but I added some thoughts and updates.

I added some other things to the site as well.

bloggers: I'm wanting to add ways for people to interact with me on my blog. I have a couple of ideas, but wanted to ask the fedi.
(*❛‿❛)→ What are the most effective ways you interact with visitors to your blog? Why?
(also... Not looking for specific recommendations for my blog, but rather YOUR experiences!)

I am super excited to host the 238th Carnival of Mathematics.
Please submit your beautiful mathy thoughts, art, and musings (prior to 4/1/25)
https://aperiodical.com/carnival-of-mathematics/
This includes @Ayliean 's #mathArtMarch prompts - I hope to have a section for what everyone does this month.
I am grateful to know any interesting tidbits about the number 238 as well - Why is this number special to you?
New blog post is up!
https://skullvalanche.com/blog/ereader-grip/
In which I ramble about designing some 3D printed grip handles for my e-reader.
New one the blog: The one where I reply to 10 questions about music.
Edit: Bonus! My RSS feed now comes with full text! Not just the first paragraph per blog as before.

I recall reading on a personal blog, 'If you start a personal blog, I will read it. I will be your first subscriber.'
I wanted to share this with a friend who is planning to start his own personal blog. However, he’s not very keen on promoting it, and I worry that this might hold him back.
Does anyone remember where I came across this?
I have updated my website's CSS. The updates are barely visible for the most part, as the design stayed the same. But thanks to @kevinpowell@front-end.social and his excellent "HTML & CSS for Absolute Beginners" video series on Youtube I made some changes and improvements. Some of which have lead into another problem, but for now I won't think too hard about it. After all, I am still learning and this is only just a hobby project.
One improvement: The images on this post are now behaving way better.
The problem: The gap between image and text in this post is huge. Which I believe has to do with the grid-template-colums set to 1fr 1fr. But as I said, I'm not going to loose any sleep over it, and I'm going to figure this one out eventually.
(Please no-one look too closely at my stylesheet. It's a mess. )
Thanks again to @flamed@social.lol for pointing me towards Kevin's YouTube.

A few weeks ago @flamed@social.lol posted about the Blog Question Challenge 2025 and I wanted to participate. So here are my answers:

Die @netzhexe@chaos.social hat mich durch ihren Blog davon überzeugt, in Zukunft auf das Attribut target=_blank zu verzichten. Was ich mag und für nützlich halte, muss nicht auch auf alle anderen zutreffen und ich sollte meine Vorlieben nicht anderen aufzwingen. Im Laufe der Zeit werde ich meine gesamte Website überprüfen und entsprechend ändern. Kann aber 'ne Weile dauern.

I was just adding a new blog post into my RSS feed (not published yet, I'm only preparing) and wondering... how many items should an ideal RSS feed have?
On my website's blog.html I list the last 10 posts, with a link to an archive.html where all my posts are listed. So, why am I even thinking about this? I should do the same for my RSS feed: list the latest 10 blog posts.
However... what do you prefer when you subscribe to a blog's RSS feed?
Please reply if you want to be more specific about the number you prefer.
