I’ve been researching Esterbrook nibs since I’ve inked up my J series with a 2556 (firm fine) nib recently

I stumbled across the below resource - a lot of information here

I’m coming across a 9550 a lot but am struggling to find info, so if anyone knows of anything - do let me know! I’ve found a gorgeous blue model that’s just screaming my name…..

🃏 A Soviet, an American, and a Japanese walk into a pen case

This fortnight's rotation shows history has not ended, with two vintage pens - one Soviet and another American. The former bears a resemblance to a certain German manufacturer, and the latter one of the most iconic pen designs of the 20th century

Also in the arsenal (not nuclear, thankfully!) is a Japanese pen that has a juicy wet nib made my Sailor

Just had the loveliest experience while getting my watch strap resized at Silver Phoenix in Bray. They’re a tiny, independent two-person jewellers – Jolita and Martin – and they took such care (Martin resized it three times and did a micro-adjustment and then undid it until we found the perfect fit).

In a world of faceless corporations you forget sometimes how lovely people can be.

So if you’re looking for jewellery, a watch, wallet or pen (or repairs/sizing/etc.), give them a shout and support a tiny local business that’s been going for five years now.

Stationery folks I need your help.

We found my grandma's pen but it seems a part of it is missing. Could you help ID the pen so I can look for a donor pen?

It's a Parker, purchased in France in (presumably) 1997 from what we can make out. It takes a standard euro refill

@penaddict do you know or know who could help with the ID?

I've been collecting fountain pens for a few decades. But I never use them. People throw 20-30 pens away each year with billions of them in landfill.

So this is it! I'm going disposable pen free! From now on it's a potent mix of soil AND ink under my fingernails!

Plus, of course, they are beautiful
They're appropriate technology too! I'm a sucker for something that can outlast me and be recycled.

Current #stationery setup and favs! I'm a big fan of Japanese stationery if you can't tell by...basically all of it being Japanese.

Top left: A6 monthly calendar from Daiso. Cheap and exactly what I wanted.
Top right: cheapy personal/bible-size binder with DIY pocket made from plastic packaging and washi tape 😂 paper is A6 not personal, there's a whole story there..been using it for significant dates & long term reference, and tracking my water intake since I recently found out I've been dehydrated for years 😳
Bottom: Hobonichi A6 notebook cover in water candle (it's blue on the outside) with an Apica as a commonplace book and a Hobonichi grid notebook with cute cats on it as my diary/journal.
Pens etc: Platinum Preppy (baby's first fountain pen), Uni Jetstream multi pen, Sharpie S-Note markers (big fan of these but they may have phased them out?), Zig dot markers (great for commonplace color coding!) andddd Kodomo no Kao fruit-shaped stamps, for habit tracking on my calendar.

Super happy with this combo atm, I've iterated and experimented a lot over the years and my needs definitely change over time. Anybody use any of these? Have questions about them? Let's chat stationery!! ✒️✏️

Testing out a new technical pen – Aristo MG1 Pro, 0.13. I’m a fan so far.

Mainly I’m just searching for something that doesn’t clog up as easily as the Rotring Isographs, which their smaller nibs are notorious for.

I’ve also got a couple of Staedtler pens to try out as well.

Currently inked for this fortnightly rotation - two Parkers!

Parker squared? 💙🩷

I remember heading to a stationery store with money my nanna gave me for my 18th b’day to get the Sonnet and a bottle of Quink

It would be my first fountain pen; what started the addiction (and it was all downhill from there! 😳)

The Falcon I picked up the final London Pen Show before Covid screwed everything up.. Look at that nib!!!
