The Co-Pro Futures Inquiry will propose measures to address barriers to #participatory and #coproduced research within universities and the higher education sector in the UK .
The Call for Evidence and Ideas is one key way that we want to gather collective intelligence to support the sector-wide deliberation and development of an action plan. We are opening the call for submissions until February 28th 2025. Details below! #CoPro #Codesign #citizenScience #ParticipatorResearch please share!

Happy to share my last #research article, led by Joanna Suchomska and published on Gateways: International Journal of Community Research and Engagement

The never-ending story of local participatory democracy policies: permanent experimentation vs. institutionalization.

There is a #Wikipedia proposal [0] to modify the 'Find general sources' template [1]. The template is used on nearly a million Wikipedia pages (esp. talk pages, not articles). Knowledge review circulates between search engines + meta-search engines, academic peer-reviewed papers, and Wikipedia - should #SurveillanceCapitalism retain its power here? This #OpenKnowledge decision-making is #transparent and #participatory.

Hello 👋 I’ve recently moved so here is a new #introduction. I’m an academic working on #regional development and #governance. I’m especially interested in #migration, #urban planning, #labour, and more recently #participatory democracy. I’m an #economist by training but now do mostly #interdisciplinary work with colleagues in #geography #sociology and #philosophy. My hobby is #photography especially #macro and #landscapes, although I struggle to find the time. This is my crazy #dog Fonzie!

One of the most popular functions of #SocialMedia is people saying whatever it is they feel they need to say about the #political situation(s) of the moment. It's relentless, and I've done it too a number of times, though I do try to use social media for other topics more.

I think this constant use of social media for political comment is because we have almost no other way to participate politically except in casting votes every 2-4 years.

We need a proper #participatory political system.
