We are, in some deep sense, what we love — we become it as much as it becomes us, beckoned from our myriad conscious and unconscious longings, despairs, and patterned desires.

'supremacy' by parmy olson is well-researched, relevant, and surprisingly breathless for a nonfiction book.
as such, her writing – especially in the later chapters – mirrored the fast pace of AI development, which i guess was the point. it felt like i inhaled them.

Just finished Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, which of course was the inspiration for the hit Broadway show. Truly a fascinating life, where sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. It makes one wonder what might have happened had Hamilton's life not been cut short.
This quote stood out to me:
"His faith in Americans never quite matched his faith in America itself." It was like he had a crystal ball.
