JordiGH
I want to make it clear why it's such a big deal to make sure that the Pio Pow release got fixed.

Pio Pow is a posthumous release by Jeremías Babini, a beloved member of the #NESdev community. It's a gorgeous NROM game (40 kB, like SMB1 or Micro Mages) done with a lot of love. Jeremías passed away just a few months before the release of the game, and his family did the finishing arrangements to get LRG to publish the only full version that is currently public. Here you can see the state of Jeremías's page on the game, which I guess will now be preserved for as long as the hosting stays up:

https://jeremiasbabini.xyz/piopow/en.html

I don't know if his family will also arrange a ROM release, but I hope they do. If a digital release happens, it will probably take about a year, as LRG typically negotiates exclusivity for a year. I risked putting the cartridge into my NES only long enough to dump it (about 15 minutes), and it's never going back in again.

It's a really cool game, a turn-based roguelike with some very interesting mechanics.

Part of the reason I went on this whole crusade to get the cartridges fixed is for the sake of the memory of Jeremías. He deserved better than this release.

#PioPow #NES #LimitedRunGames
