still getting used to how #m43 handles focus, especially in macro, but i like how this frame came out!

The pinkish flowers of the redbud tree hang in the foreground from a branch above, as the rest of the tree floats in soft bokeh behind and clouds float in the blue sky.

finally going through and editing some of my practice photos with my new favorite #m43 lens; the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 25mm f/1.8

i didn't make a New Lens Day post about it (sorry i have been Swamped lately) but when i've been able to get out and about and test it i've been more than happy with the results!

Another hobby I got besides #photography , its a #fountainpen . Apparently the proper handling of them is not really taught in many schools around the globe, but I grew up with them. This photo was made when I was refilling this TWSBI eco in a spur of the moment. Unfortunately I don't own any macro lenses for such occasions but the lighting straight to the jpeg looked surprisingly good.

If you are reading this and considering a fountain pen for yourself..its an expensive hobby. Lamys tend to dry out quickly but are cheap and good. Theses TWSBI are quite sealed but sometimes the nib is a lottery and not all of them are perfect. Also they are very susceptible to iso-propranolol, something to be aware of.

Hmm... interesting. I just tried mounting the Panasonic Leica 12-60mm f/2.8-4 lens onto my OM-1 Mark II and it looks like it only knows how to AF using contrast detect AF.

I mounted the OM 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro back onto the OM-1 II and it went straight back to non-hunting PDAF.

Has anyone else noticed the lack of PDAF when using Pana lenses on OM bodies?

Photo en couleur présentant un plant de jacinthe des bois à peine sorti de terre avec une seule « clochette » ouverte, le reste des fleurs du plant étant toujours à l'état de bourgeon. Seul, ce plant de jacinthe est vraiment net, des feuilles de fougère au-dessus de cette fleur étant moins nettes alors que les fougères plus proches du photographe et l'arrière-plan sont flous. On y distingue toutefois les troncs d'arbres dans un pré.

The weeping cherry tree in our front yard is in full bloom and it's always beautiful (while it lasts) so I decided to put my manual focus Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 lens on and take a couple of shots and boy howdy is it hard to nail the focus at f/0.95... but I still got a couple of good shots:

Photo en couleur en format vertical, présentant les crosses encore bien enroulées d'un plant de de fougère asplenium, au pied d'un muret. Évidemment, la couleur dominante de la photo est le vert. Les anciennes feuilles de fougère de l'année dernière sont toujours là, mais bien abîmées par le temps et les insectes qui les apprécient.

un rameau les 15 et 28 mars dernier en faisant "mon tour"

Diptyque, vertical sur fond blanc de deux photos, présentant le même rameau photographié à quelques jours d'intervalle, l'arrière plan étant constitué d'un petit étang et du reflet d'arbres sur celui-ci. Sur la première photo, les bourgeons sont à peine ouverts et on perçoit essentiellement que les fleurs rose pâle. Sur la seconde photo, les feuilles, vert pâle, ont commencé à s'ouvrir et se développer alors que les fleurs sont toujours présentes mais d'un rouge plus prononcé.

Almost. Saw this develop when walking down the street and took a snapshot without the chance to frame and look. I am quite happy with the timing. Unfortunately my #poorMansGR (a Panasonic #GX800) did not focus correctly. At least, this way I expect it to be in line with GDPR regulation.

A square black and white photo shot across a street. A man is walking on a sidewalk. As the building behind the photographer has some structure on its roof and throws a shadow across the street, his head and upper body are exactly in such a light spot. If one zooms in, it is noticable that the man is out of focus.

I have a question for those using #MicroFourThirds for #photography.

I currently have an OM-1 Mark II and an E-P7. But I was thinking of selling the E-P7 for a Panasonic G9 because I have read that some Pana lenses don't behave properly on OM bodies.

Wondering what you #MFT #M43 photographers might think / have a view on the Pana lenses OM body issue / non-issue.
