Can someone recommend a good affordable #microphone that is directional and does not pick up to much of ambient noise for podcast type voice recordings? I own a Rhode NT-1 and an Aston Origin and while they sound great they are very sensitive. #linuxaudio

Which option do you gravitate towards in the #studio?
I ask because some of my friends and I regularly #rewire our spaces, take things apart, service them, clean them, reorganize #sample libraries, #plugin collections, etc. And we really enjoy this part of the #studiolife as well. #musicproduction #maintenance #linuxaudio

My Jack server won’t start on Zorin OS, which make me unable to test Studio One.

Feels kind of strange, since Bitwig is running flawless using PipeWire, but Studio One (still in Beta) only uses Jack, and I have zero to no idea of how to fix this.

Seems there is some searching around to do, to find out why jack isn’t running.

I am using #gnome48 with #wayland on #manjaro #linux (kernel 6.14) and have the problem that in #bitwigstudio (#flatpak) to rename a Cue Marker, it takes two clicks on the respective Cue Marker to accept keyboard input for renaming.
Bitwig support says this does not happen on their officially supported platform, Ubuntu. What could possibly be causing this?
