Veronica Olsen 🏳️🌈🇳🇴🌻<p>I'm glad to see there are more data to be found in the run 2 datasets! It will also be interesting to see what comes out of the HL-LHC project. It has already been in the making for years.</p><p>I did my 2.5 year fellowship on it in 2017 to 2019, but I'm not very familiar with the interactions they're studying here. W and Z were discovered at CERN in the early 80s though using the LEP accelerator, the LHC's predecessor.</p><p><a href="https://phys.org/news/2025-04-atlas-hood-higgs-mechanism.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">phys.org/news/2025-04-atlas-ho</span><span class="invisible">od-higgs-mechanism.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Science" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Science</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/HighEnergyPhysics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HighEnergyPhysics</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Physics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Physics</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/CERN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CERN</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/HiLumiLHC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HiLumiLHC</span></a></p>
