This one was a hard egg to crack. At first, I wanted to make something inspired by the Eiffel tower. But it turned out looking more organic than intended, like a close-up of hair, underwater tentacles or an ethereal forest. Maybe one day buildings will be as delicate as filaments floating up in the air, bending but never breaking.

Combining the prompt for today and 2 earlier ones I had skipped that seemed to go well together. A chance to play more with lighting & shadows. Dithering with blue noise to just black and white pixels.

#genuary20 - Generative Architecture. All I kept thinking of was the retro QBasic Gorillas game, where gorillas stand atop a generative city skyline and throw bananas at each other. I coded up a skyline generator to produce the classic look, then thought about modernizing it with a nicer color palette (see also #genuary16 generative palette) and some gradients. I utilised the #genuary20 prompt for generative architecture to finally understand WEBGL a little better.
The last time I tried it, I gave up relatively quickly, as I found it really frustrating. I also learned a lot about arrays.
No texture or lighting, so still very basic, which is fine for me. #genuary
