I want a FOSS calendar that I can see other peoples' google calenders on. My girlfriend is very busy so I often need to check her google calendar to do scheduling stuff, but I don't want to use google myself, at all. I've seen people claiming they could do a setup to see a partners google calendar while using fossify calender app but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I think I need another syncing tool and something about servers? Is any of this even secure also? Can it be encrypted automatically? Please help- I have no idea what I'm doing.

Nou ik er een tijdje mee werk, moet ik zeggen dat het me redelijk goed bevalt.
In combinatie met KDE Connect slinger ik regelmatig een dagelijkse backup naar een ander apparaat als externe backup.
De dagelijkse backups komen in een map terecht die regelmatig opgeschoond (gewist) wprdt.
Een enkele keer een kleine issue laatst een doorgegeven. Benieuwd hoe snel doe verholpen is. (Niet ernstig, slechts beetje irritant)

Misschien is deze app iets.
Davx5 is voor Google playstore betaald.
Maar bij F-driod is deze gratis.

Si buscáis una alternativa a Google Calendar podéis probar con Fossify Calendar, en F-Droid. Nada de crear cuentas, ni alojar tus datos en la nube. Creas una copia de seguridad (o activas la copia automática) y la guardas donde quieras.
Además, puedes tener varios calendarios para mantener las cosas separadas, y hasta la fecha (y llevo bastante con ella) funciona perfectamente.

Ich verwende im Moment #FossifyCalendar: https://f-droid.org/packages/org.fossify.calendar/ Die Synchronisation mit #NextCloud geht dabei über #CalDAV.

'Herinneringen blijven herhalen totdat ze zijn uitgezet' is geen goed idee als de eerste keer 's ochtends is en je geen idee hebt welk knopje* daar voor moet indrukken.

Met CalDAV synchronisatie kan hij ook Google synchroniseren.
Uiteindelijk gebruikte ik dat nu even om (toen ik er al even mee aan het spelen was) om de afspraken te bewerken en lokaal op te slaan. Kan veel netter met exporteren vanuit google en importeren. Maar zoveel stond er niet in. Via contacten werden verjaardagen enzo al geïmporteerd.
Maar lokale agenda + google kan dus ook prima.

So, jetzt dank #fossify Apps Ganz einfach alle Google Kalender Einträge und Kontakte Einträge gelöscht.
Jetzt liegen alle Einträge nur noch in meiner #Nextcloud
