Okay, I don't know why I didn't think to look to see if apps existed for knitting and/or crocheting earlier... Because this has been a game changer with knitting lace. It does stink to have another thing that I need my phone for though... But it's also so handy and helpful, sooooo... #fiberarts #knitting

Oh, I didn't learn about this until now.

Stephenie Gaustad died on February 12th of this year.

I don't know much about spinning plant fibers, but I always enjoyed her writings on that topic and she was such a great influence and inspiration for the #spinning community.

I told my best friend that I might start a Floss tube channel and she said to just do it. Floss tube is the name for YouTube videos from the cross stitch community. I have no idea how to connect with people other than to maybe email the peeps that I watch now about it. I figure that all I need is my phone to record, a microphone and some way to edit. That last part might be the hardest to come by as I don't have cash for a program and I also use a Chromebook. Anyway, thinking about how to make this happen.

The details in that beauty are great, I love all the structure. Lots of bobble stitches in variations. (.... though not as many as in my current WIP)
I remember I made this shawl for a MAL over on Ravelry (Make-Along) with the topic Earth and my inspiration was Sedona.
The pattern itself was also a CAL (Crochet Along) by the Designers, but I made it later. In any case - I love the composition of this pattern. Bonus - the yarn is from a small yarnwinder in my country. As small as our country is, that makes her local to me. :D

Started working on a sampler to brush up on my #embroidery skills (before starting a real project) and....owwwww. My eyesight was a LOT better the last time I did this. I might need a magnifier.

On the other hand! French knots are not as awful as they used to be. Victory!

This is a very special piece. In one of my yarn surprise boxes, there was this crazy luxurious yarn:
40% Wool - Merino
25% Camelid - Llama
20% Silk
15% Cellulose - Linen / Flax

I was almost scared to use it and searched the longest time for a fitting project. I eventually decided on the Shawl of the Moirae and I think it's such a special piece.
