"Several U.S. regional climate centers shut down Thursday — including those in the Midwest, Great Plains and South.

Those three centers are responsible for collecting weather data across 21 states, as well as sharing drought conditions and other online tools. But their operations ceased at midnight on Thursday due to a lapse in federal funding..."

The Netherlands delays its nitrogen emissions target, defying its own judges and the EU.

The Dutch government confirmed it will push back its deadline to halve nitrogen emissions from 2030 to 2035, defying a recent court order.

In a couple of months, this won't be our view over our back fence. We will be in a small cottage community in south Innisfil, with a rural feel but more closely surrounded by houses. Our neighour has approximately 20 cows in his herd, and 2 calves were born this week. He expects another 4 in the next few days. We'll also miss watching the young calves capering across the field and coming to our back fence to check out our dog Harley.

We've been working on this project for a few months now and it looks like we'll soon come to an end. A heap of complex connections, a bit of concrete and paint later, we are nearing completion.

An diesem Projekt bauen wir nun bereits einige Monate und es sieht dannach aus das wir bald zu einem Ende kommen. Ein haufen komplexter Verbindungen bisschen Beton und Lack später sind wir kurz der Fertigstellung

At a time when Lyford was in decline, Duke Energy Renewables arrived in 2012 to build the first phases of a massive new wind farm—installing 171 turbines across 23,000 acres of leased farmland here (an area roughly the size of Disney World), 30 miles west of the Gulf of Mexico. texasobserver.org/willacy-texa
