Spinner Dolphins At Electric Beach, Oahu, Hawaii. On a recent trip to snorkel among the abundant tropical fish found in the warm water at Electric beach, my friends and I were treated to a visit by a pod of Spinner dolphins. They stayed with us for almost an hour, chattering loudly underwater to one another and putting on a show worthy of admission. The aquatic mammals spent much of the time jumping straight out of the water, spinning like tops before falling back. All this took place close enough to us that we could have reached out our hands and touched the beautiful creatures. Certainly one of the most magical experiences of my life!

Frolicking Dolphins.

Takumar 4/200mm.

Three dolphins launch vertically, the water streaming from their bodies. The right one is completely out of the water and most of it's body is above the horizon line. Low tree covered hills in the distance.

The same three dolphins from the first image, a split second later. All three are airborne. They have twisted in the air as if to look at the camera, the right two near colliding. Two more have emerged, one on each side.

An increase in dorsal fin injuries

"In the last two months four dolphins have been found with their dorsal fins either injured or completely severed.I'm not saying what object it was, but it's a definitely a watercraft or a propeller that's severed the dorsal fin."
