Unfortunately they mostly get swamped.. like, the bloomberg green bots are 90% of what I see when I look at a few of those.

Perhaps the community's just not sufficiently here yet. I know a few climate scientists who tried mastodon in 2022 and gave up after a while, and have moved to bluesky since. Just a bit too much small friction here.
