After the Young Eagles rally I had some time and decided to fly around a little. I got a ram mount for my yoke and wanted to test it a bit (I like it a lot more than having the ipad on my thigh). I also "suffered" a little spontaneous disassembly of my air vent and had to wait until I was back on the ground to mess with it.

Overall, a nice flight seeing things starting to turn green.

The wolf river in Wisconsin. Very winding path it cuts through forests.
Air vent tube fell out of wing hole in cockpit. Annoying but not dangerous (unless you're fiddling with it during flight I guess).

Would kind of like to know who was operating N67CL (apparently) taking video of the crowd. This helo has no logos or markings other than the N number. News stations can’t afford their own aircraft with fancy paint jobs any more? #avgeek

A successful Young Eagles rally at 79C this morning! The clouds lifted and we had four aircraft going. I flew 8 total and all 8 had never been on a small plane before. It was a challenging crosswind at Brennand since the runway isn't very wide, but I had some great landings.

Visited Forbes (YFBS) today. Good chat with some of the local aero club people. It’s only an hour out of Sydney and I’ve lived here for 12 years without ever visiting, so it was probably about time.

The airport had this out the front, which is very funny to me. I took a closer look because Forbes is 600km from the nearest ocean and has no business displaying anchors. #avgeek

Seth Miller, an old acquaintance from my #AvGeek days, and now elected official is on a PR campaign exposing Avelo Airlines for their collaboration with this administration on deportations.

A friend sent me this. It’s a screen shot from that crypto-bro funded, pretend decentralized BS site.

Good on Seth! But also, bummer he’s stuck on the wrong platform.
