Bona Diada de Sant Jordi!

Això diu la llegenda: després de matar el drac, Sant Jordi va clavar la seva espasa a terra i d'ella en va brollar una rosa vermella. Per tant, la rosa es va convertir en un símbol d'amor i victòria.
El 23 d'abril va ser triat per coincidir amb la mort de tres grans autors de la literatura mundial: Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare i l'Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. Aquesta coincidència el converteix en un dia simbòlic, carregat de significat literari.
Per això per Sant Jordi és costum regalar llibres i roses.
