Heute auch aus Zeitgründen #trailrunning Runden im wunderbar grünen Wald. Der Körper hat die Fahrradeinheiten der letzten Wochen sehr gut angenommen. Pulswerte und VO2max sind exzellent (für mich alten Sack).

First race of the year was this very hilly Coolman Clip 10km.
I was a little slower than when I did it last year but it was a stunning, clear morning and the views from the top of the hills made it well worth the climbs.

Last Sunday I raced Nord Trail Monts de Flandres, 115km.
I wrote a report of my race.
Enjoy!
Hazard x Exposure x Vulnerability = Risk
❝I’m constantly thinking through worst-case scenarios out in the mountains and going through the exercise of “what if?” What if I break a leg? What would I do with no cell service? What will most likely happen if I slip and fall? What would I do first if I thought I was lost?

I'm wondering why is so hard to update a #TrainingPeaks plan with #Coros HUB, every time that I make a change I have to refresh several times before to get the changes in my watch... it's really annoying #TrailRunning
Sehr entspannter Morgenlauf über Weinberge, Dörfer und Singletrails im Wald. Ein Privileg in dieser tollen Gegend zu wohnen. #running #trailrunning

❝There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to hydration.

A useful primer on the whys, whats, and hows of #hydration, particularly as it relates to running.

Apart from all the other runs on trails and hills I could identify the following "dedicated" sessions for the #niesen #treppenlauf on the city stairs plus hills in town and incline treadmill (I add the stats for the climber for completeness) (note to self - add better tags to your sessions in the log to find them easier).
Last 8 weeks...
Total: 41 sessions, 114km, 118128 steps, 37h, 29020m of EG
Stair climber: 19 sessions, 84375 steps, 16776m of EG
City stairs/hills: 11 sessions, 82km, 33753 steps, 17.5h, 7750m of EG
Incline treadmill: 11 sessions, 32km, 5.5h, 4494m of EG, 15 % incline (1 with only 9%)
❝We protect what we love. But we also protect what we remember, what we understand, what we can see ourselves in. That’s why stories matter. They remind us that conservation isn’t just about science. Conservation is about culture, about emotion, and about the sacred act of caring in public.

More pictures for the unlucky bunch of you stuck in offices
About 10 km done, always on sight of water.
Watch out of battery, so no numbers. Tried to take care of spm and keep mouth closed for breathing.
Bad news is that Sunday's race will be a DNS.

The easy runs are getting faster.
I see it as increasing fitness towards ISU50.
Today back to work after a productive long Easter weekend where we painted the outside house.
Upcoming weekend the longest run from the training plan (5hrs).
After that only 2 weeks taper left to the race .

Recovery run, apart from my legs still being sore, I have some pain in my left knee.
Some stair climber stats from my training for the #niesen #treppenlauf (11700 steps/1669m of EG/3.4km) which will be in 8 weeks.
And 8 weeks ago I started with the stair climber in the gym. Numbers so far: I did 19 sessions and 84375 steps/16776m of EG in 840min (14h) .
Sessions with 1000+ meters (or 5000+ steps): 8.
Longest session: 98 minutes (1890m/9450 steps).
Avg pace all sessions: 100 steps/min.
Avg steps per session: 4441.
Avg EG per session: 883m.
Avg duration of session: 44min.
I am now able to do 1000m/5000 steps in 45min. Started at 60min when attempting it for the first time.
Onto the next 8 weeks.
I will see if I can compile the some numbers for the outdoor stairs - I have done plenty of those as well…
Today’s run involved more effort than I bothered with while I was in the final weeks of preparing for the Northern Traverse. Back to slotting in some high aerobic and anaerobic work in the weekly mileage now. After 8 weeks of minor injury, tapering, race, and then recovery it was nice to step out of the door and run my socks off for a change Hard work though
#running #trailrunning 10km done in sub-51 minutes. Happy with that at the moment.
