@drahardja UBI isn't a high amount, just covers the basics. It doesn't give you a comfortable living where you can lean back and do nothing. But it is enough to survive. And that's the point. Should you fall on hard times, you don't have to use up all your savings. The basics are covered. And for most people it is a safety net without begging or discrimination. It is a dignified safety net. And most industrial countries should be able to afford it, if only taxes were fair: #TaxTheRich

Davon wird nur die Mütterrente bei der unteren Hälfte ankommen. Die Steuersenkung wird die (System)Gastronomie für die Marge nutzen. Beim Strom ist auch zu erwarten, dass ein guter bei den Eigentümer*innen der Konzerne landet.
I wonder how the economy would change if the law required publicly traded companies to pay out 50% of their profits in dividends and forced investors to pay into the corporate coffers when the stocks they hold report a loss. I think stock prices would more closely reflect the actual value of assets. I think the taxes paid on dividend earnings would be significant.

Man wird nicht nur nicht reich durch abhängige Beschäftigung. Als lediger, kinderloser Angestellter mit gutem Job wird man auch arm besteuert mit Spitzensteuersatz! Arbeit lohnt sich nicht - im Vergleich zu vermögend sein!
Eine Reform der Erbschaftsteuer oder eine Wiedereinsetzung der #Vermögensteuer ist nicht geplant. Die SPD ist ihrer Tradition treu geblieben, beide Forderungen im Wahlkampf vor sich herzutragen und mit Beginn der Koalitionsverhandlungen kleinlaut wieder abzuräumen.

@LukefromDC But seriously. I don't think any Mainers would go after school officials. But I could be wrong. TBH, Trump is too cowardly to send in the troops. He'd rather just cut off our funding. Time to tax rich Mainers. They could easily make up the difference!
