same here, I'm mainly a user too and not a developer.

Still code is text and we can all read the text even if it looks like gibberish to us all and after reading it we may not be very certain whether the "read" was worth our time...

I can let you know though if I find a configuration file and something looks "fishy" although I doubt that anyone with really ill intents would hide something there...
