Lagerdauer von Seagate-Festplatten
Meine Festplatten liegen monatelang ungenutzt rum. Laut eines Berichts haben sie eine maximale Lagerdauer von 60 Tagen außerhalb ihrer Verpackung – stimmt das?
So which is it, #Seagate? Exos or Ironwolf Pro? X18?? With 16TB capacity? I don't think so.
(I don't actually know, that's what I have in my home NAS and it's kinda loud, so maybe it's actually an Exos?)
Finally reinstalled my laptop to Aeon Desktop. Just added nerd fonts. Enabled fingerprints unlock. Ptyxis looks like a great terminal too. And love GNOME 48 and the new font.
The saddest part was when the brand new Seagate HDD suddenly died during the backup restore process. 
Anyway, always be kind to the people that are serving you in order to resolve your issue. I always made sure to do this and it's always done everyone good, they're just doing their jobs and are there to help you after all.
I've went through this and had the same experience with #Noctua who sent me additional mounting kits for free when I had bought the wrong cooler set for the wrong platform, #UGreen when one of my chargers weren't performing as advertised (they made me physically smash the charger they were replacing lmao), my overpriced #Razer mouse, and some #Seagate hard drives.
The only "bad" experience I've had with warranty was with a Chinese #Shopee or #AliExpress seller I had bought a used (with "warranty") #AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU they'd sent me with bent pins, saying that issue "wasn't their fault", and also with the retailer that had sold me my #Nothing Phone 1 - tho in that case I believe it was an issue with Nothing's incompetence to keep their phones in stock, not the retailer themselves.

Another ST4000DM004 started failing, at 40,700 hrs.
I first swapped in a DM005 from the stack, 60,700 hrs with a couple logged SMART errors. I can't recall SMART ever working, so that was surprising, graveyard time for that one.
My last spare 4 Tb is a DM004 with 35,800 hrs., imaging just finished and it's online now.
Guess it soon will be time for a new mirror pair for the main store, though >12 Tb drives still kinda expensive.
