In the cyberpunk #TTRPG Shadowrun, every citizen has a System Identification Number, or SIN. Without a SIN, people do not have access to most things necessary to function in society: no bank accounts, no credit, can't legally rent a flat or buy a home, can't drive, no healthcare, no legal protection, zip, nada, nix. To spice things up, there are state SINs issued by governments, and corporate SINs issued to corporate citizens.
