Ugh. Come on- resist!

“The changes approved last week mean the agency’s draft rules no longer regulate behavioral advertising, which targets people based on profiles built up from their online activity and personal information. In a prior draft of the rules, businesses would have had to conduct risk assessments before using or implementing such advertising.

Behavioral advertising is used by companies like Google, Meta, and TikTok and their business clients. It can perpetuate inequality, pose a threat to national security, and put children at risk.”

A quotation from Teddy Roosevelt

We are face to face with new conceptions of the relations of property to human welfare, chiefly because certain advocates of the rights of property as against the rights of men have been pushing their claims too far. The man who wrongly holds that every human right is secondary to his profit must now give way to the advocate of human welfare, who rightly maintains that every man holds his property subject to the general right of the community to regulate its use to whatever degree the public welfare may require it.

Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919) American politician, statesman, conservationist, writer, US President (1901-1909)
Speech (1910-08-31), “The New Nationalism,” Osawatomie, Kansas

Some teens are barely holding it together.
So this summer, I’m offering something a little different:

Okay, But Seriously—WTF (What Are These Feelings?)

An 8-week therapy group in Castle Rock, Colorado for teens (13–17) feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just… off.

We’ll talk emotional regulation, relationships, brains, and bodies—real tools, no therapy-speak.

Hmmm... The Consumer Council for Water has criticised OFWAT for being too attentive to the water industry & too weak in protecting customers from unwarranted price rises.

In Labour's 'bonfire of the regulators' many would hope that OFWAT would be reformed, but what's the betting that Labour will now have the CCW in its sight for being a regulatory nuisance?
