Gerne alles schicken, was ihr dazu habt: Analysen, Langfassungen, gute Threads, #Papers, Dokus.
Super wären auch peer-reviewte Papers.

Danke euch!

I've just reviewed Csaba Szabo's ''Unreliable: Bias, Fraud, and the Reproducibility Crisis in Biomedical Research'.

It's a tour-de-force through how most biomedicine research results are impossible to reproduce, how the field is corrupted by fraud, and what some real scientists are doing to counter all of this.

Metadata include geospatial and other sample information, analytical details and references….
Current content of GEOROC:

I've checked out @bluebuild tonight, and I find it really, really cool. I'm now running a system with:

- The official* set of #GNOME Core apps installed by default, most of them as Flatpaks from #Flathub
- * #Showtime and #Papers instead of their old counterparts, and #Decibels
- The full GNOME wallpaper collection supplanting Fedora's branded ones
- No Firefox RPM
- No Fedora Flatpak repository

Anyone else using the image would in theory get the same experience out of the box. Pretty neat!

"I took much pains in sorting and folding of papers."

I agree so very very much, Sam. The folding part is often overlooked. A paper that is being put to use must be folded. It's a mark of recognition and appropriation. The unfolded paper is alien, the folded paper is trusted.

[The truth, I'm not sarky.]

Ubuntu 25.04’s New PDF Viewer App is Now Rolling Out

Earlier this year Ubuntu announced plans to replace document viewer app Evince with Papers, a modern GTK4/libadwaita fork1 of the former, in Ubuntu 25.04—today, the swap was made official. Papers is a fork of Evince that is actively maintained and makes use of newer technologies (GTK4, THIS), that are already present in Ubuntu. Upstream, GNOME 48 (out in March) opts to keep Evince as a core app but GNOME 49 is expected to switch to Papers. Ubuntu feels no reason to wait. Dabbled with daily builds of the Plucky Puffin prior to now? You might have noticed Papers isn’t present :sys_more_orange:
