Is there an easy way to check for incompatible apps BEFORE the upgrade? The Yunohost upgrader actually warns about it but tries to upgrade anyway.
There does not seem to be a suitable occ command.

Wow. Also #Nextcloud ist schon heftig. War mir bisher nicht so klar. Und die managed Lösung von @hetzner ist auch zudem noch ein sehr fairer Preis. Gekauft, Kalender, Kontakte aktiviert und schon Daten von Google und OneDrive importiert.

Läuft bisher ziemlich super.

With a recent update of the IOS #Nextcloud app it seemingly lost the info it had about backing up my Photos and I had to reconfigure it again.

It then decided I had about 300000 (yes) files to sync and has spent quite a few battery charges bringing that down to 10000 less.

I don't have 300000 photos on my phone. All of the ones it has done so far already have been backed up before as well.

Why I didn't select "new photos only"? Well, it didn't have the last ten or so backed up when I had to reconfigure it and I was fine re-sending the actual amount of files.

I guess I'll have to nuke things.

I know this is not arts/crafts related, but I'll still talk about it here because I think it's rather nice if you wanna #unplugtrump - I have installed nextcloud on my webserver (shared hosting, german provider), and it works easily out of the box as a replacement for google drive/dropbox. Also I'm now automatically synching my phone photos with it. I've also tested the talk app videochat, and it works wonderful!
I'm really happy so far. Calender next.

Something interesting I just discovered about @gotosocial and @Flipboard, as well as @nextcloud@mastodon.xyz.

It seems that while Flipboard accounts accounts are visible from GtS, the Flipboard app's Mastodon beta feature doesn't allow me to login through connected accounts.

I'm curious: Is that because of a setting in GtS? A limitation in how GtS handles Mastodon clients? Or Flipboard's implementation of Mastodon?

On a separate note, there is a Nextcloud plugin that adds Mastodon support (mostly it's just recent posts on your dashboard, plus a link to Mastodon in the apps menu). And that does work with GtS.

Quite chuffed with myself.

I’ve set up a Virtual Private Server and managed to install GoToSocial, Nextcloud and Collabora Online.

I feel like a real techie!!

Did it for no other reason than I wanted to try something new.

The VPS cost me less than a fiver (I just did a month so I could try it out).

I’ve been using Nextcloud for a while, now I have my own instance.

Why?

Just because.

I might use GoToSocial for my journal. But again, I’ll test the waters and see where that goes.

I might even use it to document my self-hosting ‘journey’.
