@cartodata Congrats! I believe you're the only one to have made so many maps for #mapFailbruaryChallenge this year, so massive respect :)

#mapfailbruarychallenge The Map Failbruary Challenge is officially over! 29 days dedicated exclusively to producing the "worst" #map possible.
Although the challenge is primarily intended to be humorous, for me it was more an opportunity to experiment and improve by taking up the same cartographic theme: my own driving test route
The theme was neither the most original nor the most essential. But it's also an emotionally-charged journey, that I've tried to reconstruct through these "bad" maps
Cartographic crime in progress. Psychedelic animated gradient map of central Edinburgh.
Done in #blender, used #qgis to make texture mask, data from OS OpenZoomStack, crown copyright and database rights 2024
Used HSV colour space to do colour cycling.
I think this counts as an entry to day one of #MapFailbruaryChallenge
#mapfailbruarychallenge I'd completely forgotten about this challenge!
Recently, however, I took my driving test (which of course I failed). So I thought it would be a great theme to make up for lost time and make a map with a non-mapping software, in a hurry, and who ticks the checklist of my cartography teacher.
This map would have been perfect for the 21st, by the way.
I don't think I'll be participating every day, but I'll have to produce a few maps during this month all the same!
#map Not dead yet! Just finished my changes for one of my original #MapFailbruaryChallenge work.
This subjective (or sensitive) cartography is built on the pejorative bases carried by the English definitions of Nerd/geek, who emphasize the pejorative discrimination or stigma attached to these two terms. It is a subjective work, attempting to highlight the duality between places of social acceptance and social non-acceptance.

@Edent
I do love seeing how warped force directed layouts of real world things end up.
Please don't take this as an insult, but this would make a good entry in one of the #MapFailbruaryChallenge's though I'm not sure which
Paging @pokateo anyway.

The #MapFailbruaryChallenge is here to remind us it's okay to be a little silly sometimes and help rekindle the love and fun of maps.
