Happy Birthday Vincent Van Gogh; the closest thing you can get to Ergot poisoning without all the leg work.

Van Gogh's The Bedroom; I woke up with a red wine hang over after a magic mushroom party and my room looked pretty much like this. Exaggerated colors, things at odd angles, not at all inviting.

Tree Roots in too brilliant colors seeming to vibrate with awkward brush strokes and pallet knife gouges

Starry Night on the Rhone lights reflected too brightly vibrating with the water ripples stars too big and glowing too largely as when your drug dilated eyes are struggling to adapt.

An autumn tree too brightly lit with gold against a very too blue sky. The twisted branches rippling with huge brush strokes, the sky boldly dabbed with dark and light blue patches as if night and day are fighting for control. What should be a peaceful scene is instead a war zone of color and movement.

I've got an interesting update on this toot.
Because the notebook has a permanently disabled LCD main screen, I decided to forgo My beautiful uptime and replace that computer with another nice system, where I shall acquire high up times again.
This one has a smaller screen which means it uses about as much power as a glorified watch

Today in Labor History March 25, 1957: U.S. Customs seized copies of Allen Ginsberg's poem "Howl" on obscenity grounds. Poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and City Lights manager, Shigeyoshi Murao, were arrested on obscenity charges for publishing and distributing the poem. Howl was inspired, in part, by a terrifying peyote vision Ginsberg had in which the façade of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, in San Francisco, appeared as the monstrous face of a child-eating demon. The obscenity charges stemmed from homophobic responses to his explicit references to homosexuality. Ginsberg’s first experience with LSD, as well as Kerouac’s and Burroughs’s, was with acid provided by the anthropologist Gregory Bateson, one-time husband of and long-time collaborator with Margaret Mead. You can read more about Bateson and Mead’s early experimentation with, and promotion of, psychedelics (and their collaboration with the CIA) in the recent book, “Tripping on Utopia.”

@maggiejk I completely agree that #hallucinogens like #LSD have potential beyond just treating #depression and death anxiety.

As someone who is #autistic and living with ulcerative colitis, I'm particularly interested in exploring how these substances could help with a broader range of conditions.

It's exciting to see the growing interest in #psychedelic research, and I hope it leads to more treatments for various health issues, not just #PTSD and depression!

I’m no expert, and it’s been a few decades since I have ingested #LSD, but I never would have thought that Microdosing would help with #ADHD. Depression maybe, but I am not surprised to hear it wasn’t efficacious.

Study finds that #MDMA and #LSD might have protected the survivors in the 7.10.2023 Hamas attack from severe #ptsd , and even helped some escape the attack.

Very readworthy, even though the paper's hyperfocusing on Israeli trauma while totally silent about the ongoing genocide against Palestinians appears obscene to me. Or is DJ Netanyahu about to send MDMA to Gaza prior to throwing the next rave of mass murder of civilians by bomb shellings?
