KDE Plasma 6.3.5 Update Available to Kubuntu Users

If you’re running Kubuntu 25.04 and want the latest fixes the KDE Plasma 6.3.5 release, you can use the Kubuntu backports PPA to get ’em. KDE Plasma 6.3.5 popped out a few weeks back, serving as the fifth and (likely) final bug-fix release prior to the next major release, KDE Plasma 6.4. Over the weekend, Kubuntu developers announced that the Kubuntu backports PPA has added the requisite packages for Kubuntu 25.04. Thus, Kubuntu users can add (or enable) the PPA to get the update now, rather than wait for the update to filter out through the usual software channels. The :sys_more_orange:

Cuando inicié en #GNU #Linux empecé con #Ubuntu studio, pero me estrellé porque requería algo más de experiencia y conocimiento.
Este fin de semana instalé #Debian 12 en una laptop y Ubuntu studio en otra.
Es satisfactorio sentir el avance, pero a nivel personal me quedo en #Kubuntu

Me gustan los retos pero tampoco me quiero desgastar jajaja

#Linux community buying/hardware qs. Using #PopOS on refurb Dell e7470 since 2020. But the battery (easy fix) & keyboard (hard fix) are falling. WiFi radio seems subpar.

Shortlist: #system76 (lemur or pangolin), Lenovo t14 with #fedora or #ubuntu, or #kubuntu focus ir14 (less $). Uses: browsing, Nextcloud, coding, watching video. No gaming.

I’m assuming transition from pop to (k)ubuntu will be mild. Will Fedora be drastic? Anyone with 1st hand exp on these candidates or other suggestions?

#SurfingLinux okay, mal was neues. Dieses Mal startet die KDE Oberfläche (im Recovery Mode), aber ohne Kontrollleiste. Nicht wirklich was ich erreichen wollte. Irgendwas ist hier im Argen.
Dachte eigentlich nicht, dass eine alte #Nvidia GP104M (GeForce GTX 1070 mobile) so viel Stress machen würde. :(

Die von #Kubuntu vorgeschlagenen Nvidia versionen fliegen mir alle um die Ohren.
Und mit Nouveau hab ich keinen Ton.
Mir gehen langsam die Ideen aus.

Nachdem der Bildschirm "as is" schwarz blieb, in den #kubuntu Recovery Modus gestartet (x-mal ESC während das Surface Logo auf dem Schirm). NVIDIA Treiber nachgerüstet. Neustart > Bildschirm immer noch schwarz. Neustart in den Recovery Mode: jetzt Streifen auf dem Schirm und nicht mehr bedienbar. Sch...
