This is how it is now. The sooner we smarten up and realize it the safer we will be.

I really thought it was just my case, I really thought my ex was some kind of a snitch on a do not detain list and that’s why he was allowed to skip court for six years. And when they finally made him go to court his lawyer actually suggested that the charges should be dropped because it’s been six years. At least the prosecutor laughed about that and explained that that’s not how it’s supposed to work, but he did get away with a lot because he was able to delay it by six years.

But this?!? If I was this family I wouldn’t be able to live with this. And if they’re too busy to prosecute these murderers I guess they’re too busy to prosecute any murderers that might take them out. but Ew.

I sent a message to my #Indiana legislators, governor, and lieutenant governor voicing my opposition to criminalizing homeless people.

I told them it is wasteful and not helpful to cause homeless people to have one more obstacle to being hired, as well as unfair to taxpayers because the influx of new people into the criminal justice system will require higher taxes for police, public defenders, judges, probation, housing, and everything else that will result from any criminal law.

For the third time, #INlegis has revived language that would subject people to criminal charges, fines, and jail for being without a home.

The cruelty is almost cartoonish, but the real harm this would do to human beings isn't funny.
