I couldn’t let these shapes go yet after painting the Red Blue White and Whirlpool series. Although it is not a triptych this time, I think I prefer the background on this piece the most. I spent a lot of time with different tools and dilution to achieve this worn out, yet colourful look with a lot of movements and textures, and this acts like a nice backdrop for the blue and burgundy bits. I used more paint splatters on this one, but still wanted to keep the same antique looking white dividers for the harmony. #harmony #textures #painting #abstract #artcollectors #purple #contemporaryart

A.B. Simpson, C&MA founder, on Job 31:17, “if I have eaten my morsel alone”. Simpson repeats the curse of Job, and warns those of us who would be content with eating a morsel alone. He says we are more selfish than brute creatures, and our selfishness is worse than inhuman. Brutes themselves would be ashamed of our brutality. Ducks feed fish.
