Because of the recurring characters, I think this episode would've worked better for me if I'd only just finished the second book, because that would've helped me to remember who was who. But lots of food for thought in the fates and choices of the main players. Pleased to see that a fourth book is forecast.

The Sir Yaden books is a series of #SciFi #Fantasy novels set in a future universe dominated by the Virasana Empire created by Beryll and Osiris Brackhaus.
They follow Sir Yaden, a young “Lotus Knght” with powerful psionic powers to manipulate planets. In the first book, “The Demon of Hagermarsh,” Yaden meets his future husband, Colin, and in the second, “The Windmines of Bora Bora,” his sidekick Ivan. Yaden assembles more of a family in many of the other books, which now number more than six. The books need to be read in order, as there is an overarching plot about an ancient enemy of mankind returning.

Alexios is an interesting case. The argument could be made that the single most altruistic thing he's ever done is form his gang. He brought together the misfits, saving every single one of them. It was the most selfless choice he ever made. He suffers for everyone. He's unselfish and only concerned for the welfare of others, wanting to keep everyone safe, healthy, and whole. They're his family and he would do anything for them.

Futuristic flying machine but it still has turbo-props, it's weird how the imagination only went so far.
I like how the artist had to include some kind of detail behind the skyscraper to make us understand it was being vaporised, not just turning blue.
