Are you or your loved one looking for a new sleep paralysis demon?

Today's your lucky day!

Pros:
Can fit under your bed if needed.
Doesn't mind standing for long hours.
Has seen Nightmare on Elm Street. Believes in vaccination and that the world is round.

Cons:
I would like him home before 1am.
Is a bit sneezy this time of the year.
Knows too many Dad jokes.
Will definitely be more scared than you.

Can also be hired out to stand ominously in the background at funerals, Halloween parties, or weddings.

This is a one-time deal. Get your offers in quickly!

I'm counting this as an early #spookysaturday and a#texturetuesday because of how crunchy it looks. 😂

I read in a book about an experiment during which people were given a square of their favorite chocolate and had to rate whether they wanted more after the last piece or if they didn't want any more. The more chocolate they had after a certain point, the less they wanted.

They were either eating the wrong chocolate (probably! milk chocolate is sugar) or were not real chocolate fans.

When I am eating my favorite dark chocolates (90% Lindt or 87% Laima, a Latvian chocolate), I have to hold myself back from eating ever more of it. Both of these chocolates are low in sugar, sugar being further on the list of ingredients compared to other chocolates. So it's more chocolate than anything else, though it isn't bitter like some of those chalky high-percentage chocolates that really don't understand the potential of chocolate at all.

So I guess if I were in that experiment, I would skew the results, and happily.

I say as I eat some dark chocolate accompanied by a mug of chocolate-and-orange rooibos.

Repost/Re-edit because it was looking super crunchy after uploading and I'm not too sure why! Anyway! Wanted to bring you a dandelion because there were loads of them at the park - but a little bit differently✨

Beekeeping experiment FAIL. Last year, attempted to use Rustoleum Never Wet over metal tape to create an ant-proof barrier. It does not work, it's not slick enough to keep ants crawling up it. Plus, the tape eventually peels off. You also see that dirt and mud sticks to the "Never Wet" surface. #beekeeping #experiment

#WombTransplant: the mother of my children demands to know why the lives of two women were put at risk with three major operations, when exactly the same result could have been achieved with a surrogate pregnancy (using that uterus in its natural place). theguardian.com/society/2025/a I would also argue that the baby didn't benefit from being carried by a mum on #immunosuppressants, so 3 humans were harmed in this #experiment. #science #medicine #ExperimentsOnHumans #MedicalEthics #DoNoHarm

A little bit of a Claude Monet inspired photo! (From the Water Lilies Series) This was taken in Giardini Margherita and I tried to get a picture of one of the carp - but they were way too quick for me! 😂

Art experiment

A year ago I created a never-ending randomized piece of music; I recorded everything except the flute and I designed the rules and weights for each layer in order to make it sound 'coherent'. Then I used UE4 to make each of those layers control lights IRT to light up Jacob van Swanenburgh's wonderful and unsettling masterpiece 'The Last Judgement and the Seven Deadly Sins'.

Hope you like it.

The best part? My cost for manufacturing the boards and shipping them to me in Canada (from China), with all applicable duty and taxes included, brings them out to about $1 per board.

I may try other designs at some point. But I can't see myself going back to the uber-expensive ones that are commercially available.

I can't wait to try one of them!

So this was an experiment! Got a big jar, filled it with water, put lights on either side of it and then add some food dye. It was also a failure as it was not lit bright enough and I can to re-mix the dye because it was too thick. However, we got this weird picture out of it! ✨

We are going to generate stills for a movie I am making entitled “Morning in Singapore”. It’s set in Singapore and the mood is gritty with muted colors ala 12 Storeys. Let’s start with a view from inside a HDB flat. We can see a dining table and we can see a window. It’s 6am so everything seems pretty dark.
