The result of this toot is probably that I _really_ shouldn't be traveling to the #US, #Israel, or #Turkey with their current governments. Luckily, I still dare write such statements publicly in Austria and the wider EU. If I really have to get into political trouble, then let it be because I denounce fascism and oppose the abuse of technology to build surveillance states driven by fear. I will not fight with violence, but I can and will fight it with words.

Trying to suppreess the "told you so" is really hard. This has always happened and this will always happen. I really fail to see why people are unablöe to learn from that. Especially when they are, of all places, here. On a network that was specifically created to overcome that Single Point of Failure risk. Can someone confirm that Bluesky is blocking accounts opposing the actual Turkish regime? It would be great if you can provide some information that can confirm that.
