I'm doing my election officer training for the upcoming Virginia primary #election in June. One of the things that they train us on is the set of IDs that are acceptable. It's complicated (and obviously it's a part of the law they just LOVE to tinker with every year). The training goes to some trouble to explicitly name Costco membership cards as not an acceptable ID for voting. They don't call out any other membership by name like that. I wonder if there's a real problem with Costco IDs being offered as ID when #voting.
Canadians went to advance polls in record numbers. What does that mean?
Despite 7.3 million people casting their ballot over the Easter weekend, it’s unclear what kind of impact the advance voter turnout will have on the final election results.

#EnverHoxha said in “ #Imperialism & the #Revolution” that people stopped doing the reading. And when people stopped reading, they were no longer able to solve problems that arose in a #Marxist way.
The fact that most #communist parties degenerated isn't an indictment of #Leninism, it was failure to continually adhere to Leninism that led to that happening.
#Socialism is a #science. It's not something that gets willed into being out of nowhere. You need a #scientific framework to go by. There's a reason #Marxism / #Leninsim works & #Anarchism, for example, doesn't.

Whenever I hear interviews with people about political parties and hear them say that the <example> party will "take care" of the homeless, I always think of this quote about some rabbits from the TV show Father Ted.
Ted: You know the phrase 'to take care of something'? Well, I realise now that you meant that in a sort of Al Pacino way. Whereas I was thinking more along the lines of Julie Andrews.
