@torproject same with #obfs4 bridges: there is no option to say like ports=80,443 or similar, which makes it cumbersome to get said bridges.
- And yes, for people stuck on #publicWiFi and shitty #MVNO|s this is most likely the only way they can get any #Tor connection work through #CGNAT and #firewall|s, as most do #BlockTor and it's associated #ports alongside common #proxy ports like 8000-9999 and anything they can't #MITM that isn't #HTTPS or #IMAP!
And trying to get places to #DontBlockTor that criminalize the use of #Tor is foolish at best.
@tasket I don't say @tor#Tor is perfect - far from it.
BUT an #OnionService is way easier to conceal, shield and secure than a #SurfaceWeb site.
- Also the main disadvantage of Tor is speed and the fact that @torproject publishes their #ExitNodes, so blocking Tor users is too easy.
Needless to say that there may be different scenarios and it takes individual assessment of needs, capabilities and #ITsec, #InfoSec, #OpSec & #ComSec to the point that I think it's important to teach people to make that decision instead of blanket VPN shilling...
Q: Is there any Hoster that doesn't block or ban @torproject ?
- Cuz #Contabo does per their ToS...
I could understand it if they don't want #ExitNodes and subsequent traffic to taint their rep, but they literally #ban #Tor entirely regardless if #OnionService, #Relay or a private #Bridge.
@kubikpixel @librewolf @ublockorigin I think @mozilla should just handover development of #Firefox to @torproject and make #TorBrowser the new #Upstream for #Firefox.
- So that we #nornalize using #Tor and force comanies and organizations to #DontBlockTor!

Außerdem geht es darum #Massenüberwachung so kostenintensiv und unrealistisch wie möglich zu machen...
- Es reicht nicht Leuten zu zeigen wie @torproject / #Tor und @tails_live / @tails / #Tails funktioniert, sondern wir müssen die konsequente Nutzung von #TorBrowser normalisieren und Behörden, Organisationen und Firmen dazu nötigen, #OnionServices zu betreiben und #DontBlockTor umzusetzen!
Hier muss die doppelte*" Aggression"* geliefert werden die #Cyberfaschisten uns #Polizeistaat-Fans an den Tag legen!

@ilumium until there's legal predent not just by @noybeu sueing but by actual court injunctions under penalty of prison, shit won't change.
Thus I use @torproject / #TorBrowser and #LynxBrowser over #Tor because #FuckAds and #FuckTracking.
Also using #NoScript and only allowlisting individual cookies for 15 years straight on #Firefox for the few sites that refuse to #DontBlockTor helps a lot...

@gaycookie I also #DontBlockTor out of principle and instead would rather forcibly redirect @torproject users to an #OnionService on #Tor than being an asshole to them...

Well, then it's even more important to host relays and pressure sites to #DontBlockTor and provide an #OnionService as that'll be much faster.
Espechally since @torproject seems to have fixed the #DDoS issues for #OnionServices...

@jornane @yassie_j Mind you that said info on said site is vital and may save lives.
And by putting it behind a shitty CAPTCHA it's basically state-endorsed discrimination against disabled users and privacy concious ones like @torproject / #TorBrowser users.
