ARC Tracker<p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/DiscoveryProjects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DiscoveryProjects</span></a></p><p>Now in middle of ARC's goal period for <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DP23" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DP23</span></a> announcement, "2nd half Nov". But CEO stated in <a href="https://aus.social/tags/SenateEstimates" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SenateEstimates</span></a> that <a href="https://aus.social/tags/NITpicks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NITpicks</span></a> might take 'til "end of month". So, early Dec?</p><p>History👇<br>DP23 started 2.5mo late coz of <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DP22" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DP22</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/preprints" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>preprints</span></a> &amp; security checking stuff-ups</p>

The SAC went according to schedule, which is what ARC based their goal of "second half of November" for <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DP23" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DP23</span></a> announcement on. Was always going to be tight. But there has been some additional NIT-picking since the SAC concluded on the 28th Oct. Presumably these are grants boosted above funding line which weren't ranked high enough before SAC (based on draft College scores) to be NIT-picked then.</p>
ARC Tracker<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://aus.social/@sangomahanty" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>sangomahanty</span></a></span> Yep. The ARC CEO mentioned in <a href="https://aus.social/tags/SenateEstimates" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SenateEstimates</span></a> that NIT-picking of <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DP23" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DP23</span></a> would hopefully be complete by "end of November", which aligns with statements from DMers in the last few weeks. Their stated goal was for an announcement before end of Nov, but it may bleed into early Dec by the sounds of things.</p>
