"The Trump administration wants a confrontation with the courts. Trump wants to try to break them.

That’s an essential path forward for a dictator. ...

It’s time for people to stop pretending that it isn’t happening. Trump is trying to break the government. To control all its levers, he needs a complicit judiciary to go along with a complacent Congress."

"#ICE is reportedly loading ppl onto🚨buses *now -to be IMPRISONED IN SLV w/o a day in ct, in VIOLATION OF A SC ORDER. Incl: at least 1 person w TPS & a 19-yr-old accused of being in TdA b/c of a water pistol.

This is happening at the Bluebon det cen in TX & appears to be in DIRECT VIOLATION of the SC's ruling requiring notice "afforded within a reasonable time & in such a manner as will allow them to actually seek habeas relief."

It's been <24 hrs."

The Washington Post · Analysis | The Abrego García case: A timeline and assessment of key documentsTrump administration officials forcefully defend deporting the Maryland man, but they ignore a key document at the crux of the dispute.

Warning that the exec branch's claims should shock "the intuitive sense of liberty" of Americans, a panel of judges for the US Ct of Appeals for the 4th C unanimously rejected the Trump admin's attempts to stay a lower ct order to release Abrego Garcia from #CECOT.

Judge JH Wilkinson, a RR appointee to the 4th C, wrote that allowing the admin's passive interpretation of "facilitate" would "REDUCE THE RULE OF LAW to #lawlessness & tarnish the very values...

Under the ct order, before ICE deports someone to a 3rd C, they must:

"Multiple ppl detained at the Bluebonnet ICE det cen in TX were handed sheets of paper IN ENGLISH & told by ICE officers🚨they were required to sign *even if they only spoke Spanish.

One of the ppl that the Trump admin is seemingly about to DEPORT to SLV as an "ALIEN ENEMY" is an 19-yr-old *accused of being in TdA bc #ICE agents thought a PIC of a WATER PISTOL on his FB was an actual gun!"

"STUDENT VISA TERMINATIONS: Multiple courts⚡BLOCKED efforts by the admin to terminate F-1 student visas for foreign FT students. There's a growing list of these orders across the country saying admin is canceling the visas for reasons that violate the law.

E.g. in WA, a judge found that the govt improperly terminated a FT student’s F-1 visa over a DUI arrest (but not conviction) in ways that violate the clear letter of law re: the bases for terminating student visas."
