Trump cannot drive. The images of Trump in a Truck liking like a child are real and telling.

Trump cannot drive. He never learned.

Trump has crashed the economy. He pretended in self deluded arrogance that he could drive rhe economic war tank. And drove off the cliff.

All of Trumps arrogant lies are lies. Some just lies, Luke knowing what he's doing, some are evil lies, like bigotry and prejudice.

He is a self deluded fool, as arrogant as god.

New attempt to end telework now and in the future

Received an email that all laptops are going to be replaced by desktops over the next four years. Great use of taxpayer's money. This is going to kill morale.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to all you fed admins

It might be hard to feel appreciated lately, but I want to thank our fed admins for all they do. You guys do a hundred different things, a lot of which your coworkers probably don't know about. Timekeeping, travel orders, visit requests, office supplies, record keeping, calendar management, correspondence, purchasing, personnel actions, event planning, conference rooms, visitor control, reception, you know the all business rules, you have a poc for every question you can't answer, you remember birthdays, and you probably do a ton of stuff I didn't mention. Thank you!

Government wants me to "pay them back" for RTO and I had a nervous breakdown

Long story, but in a nutshell our local HR changed my position coding from telework to remote (i didn't know this) so that I could get an office placement closer to home (more than 50 miles from duty station), and HR came back and said "Well since your HR is saying you were always remote, you were paid too much since your hire date because your office location has a SSR and your remote location doesn't, and you owe us thousands." This was communicated today. Yesterday they communicated that they are dropping my current pay by $10k since they found me an office closer to home.I had been absorbing this shitshow fairly well until now but this really sent me over the edge. I don't feel like I can go back to work, I can't stop crying. Can I take sick leave preemptively? Thanks

Any one else heartbroken to start a new private sector job?

I’m one of the IRS probationary employees who was fired and reinstated. Before I was reinstated I applied to 20 something jobs not thinking I would get my job back. I’m not in a huge metro area. There was only one objectively good job for my skills and experience and I managed to land it after 2 interviews. I should be happy because this is a very good job, but I’m not. I’m just so sad. I have wanted to work for the IRS since college. It was the first place I applied to after graduation but didn’t get any bites so I decided after I got my masters degree I would try again. 6 years later after getting my masters degree and getting some work experience, I tried again and landed a revenue officer position. I put 110% of my effort into that job every single day. I loved my job. I was doing really well. My manager was very happy with me and told me I would move up quickly. I felt like everything was finally falling into place after all my years of hard work. Then everything got ripped away from me, but instead of it being a clean break, there’s that tiny sliver of hope that tells me to try and wait out the RIFs. My manger wants me to. Everyone else thinks that would be idiotic. I want to, even though I know it would be idiotic. I just am so sad and angry. This all feels so wrong. I can’t even be excited about this job and no one gets it either. “You should just be happy you have a good job.” Well I’m not happy. I feel robbed. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.

IRS COO (chief operating officer) ended 5/4/9

Effective 5/17/2025, maxiflex and 5/4/9 will be terminated per an email that was just received.Claims this is to maximize government efficientcy... More like a way to maximize unnecessary cruelty on IRS employees.Edit: the email hasn't been sent to all employees yet. The memorandum (PDF) that is signed by the COO to All Employees is on our IRS Source homepage... This means that the email is about to be sent to all employees and will reference the signed PDF.

Join the Workers Circle a week from now on Tuesday, April 29, at 7:00 PM ET for an important conversation with Ari Berman, voting rights expert and award-winning author and journalist at Mother Jones.

During this conversation, we will be taking stock of the first 100 days of the second Trump presidency and the mushrooming grassroots opposition that is creatively taking on him and his lawless administration. We’ll examine attacks on democratic institutions and civil society, our rights and histories, the ongoing attempt to steal the NC judicial elections, rogue executive orders, and defiance of both law and judicial decisions.

We will not just be recounting the attacks on our democracy. We will discuss how these attacks are connected and how we can fight forward for the freedoms and rights that are essential to us all. ASL and closed captioning will be provided.
