ArunmozhiHey, look at that. It only took 2 hours. I have successfully used a 3rd party C++ library (PoDoFo) and extracted some information from a PDF file. <a href="https://social.arunmozhi.in/tags/CLion" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CLion</a> seems to have made it possible. It is using CMake and Ninja underneath. But I didn't have to abandon the idea of writing C++ again :) No, I am not a C++ programmer 😂

ArunmozhiIn a great piece of news, JetBrains has made <a href="https://social.arunmozhi.in/tags/CLion" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CLion</a> free for non-commercial use. I wanted to give c++ a try a few months back and eventually gave up after trying to get the package management and build system to work. Yes, I was trying to get it working in a weekend and didn’t want to use Qt and a few other lazy stuff. Anyway, the point is, I am going to give it another try now with CLion (same lazy effort) and see if I can get going with something.

Ben RamseyI ended up having so many problems getting <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/CLion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CLion</a> to properly recognize a Makefile project (after it had worked for so long with no problems) that I created an Ubuntu VM in VirtualBox and ran CLion from there, without any problems. 🤣
