Over 25,000 young people taking part in the European Astro Pi Challenge whose computer programs have passed a rigorous testing process, are about to have their python programs sent to the International Space Station.

8yo (who has been coding against the emulator so far) : "Oh wow, it's a rainbow! Oh look! Each one has a little red, green and blue light in it. Mind blown... It all makes sense now!"
Me: "What makes sense?"
8yo: "the RGB in the code, it's how much red, green and blue for the lights!
...
So, can we show my cat on it now?"
She'd heard the explanation, but actually seeing it... Clicked!

@Raspberry_Pi Congratulations folks! So many new features! We could make an #AstroPi with two cameras on a single unit. But I'm wondering how the 16nm die would fare on board the ISS. Looks like quite a hefty chunk of metal on the top of the AP so that combined with a flight case itself might be enough. We would probably need to get one inside a chamber and bombard it to know.
We've just completed our final @CodeClub session of the year and there have been so many highlights such as #AstroPi #MissionZero. We even designed these awards with the fabulous https://m.facebook.com/DragonsKnightDesign to give each child a small reminder of their own particular speciality this year. Together with a special set of slides showcasing their fantastic achievements, we ended up with our very own primary school awards ceremony! They are all
