Made a cup/bottle holder for my home office. PETG feels sturdier, but the weight of the full containers are causing a slight bend on the platform. I can either try making the bottom a little thicker, or tilt it up slightly to counter the weight.

I don't often do purely decorative prints but I was never happy with my previous attempt at a "suspended" model and I wanted another go

This is the ship "Limiting Factor" from the Iain M Banks book "The Player of Games", the geometry comes from one of his sketches. I looked again at the surround and fiddled with the way the model is defined to make it a bit easier to understand

I'm using my international radio on my Home Assistant Yellow for Thread so I added a Sonoff ZigBee dongle. I really hate large USB dongles hanging out the back of things, so I took the opportunity to finally learn FreeCAD and design a new top shell that could house that dongle internally. A few painful hours of trial and error, one U-Shaped USB extension, and one short antenna extension later and it's looking much cleaner! It is a shame I don't have a resin printer or know how to use one, because it would have been nice to keep the translucent plastic aesthetic. (an atomic purple shell would be so rad!) But I'm really happy with it overall.

Oh man, over three thousand hours of printing time leaves its marks on a printer like this. Even if it is a #BambuLab #X1C. What I urgently need to do:

1. Cleaning! Cleaning VERY thoroughly.
2. tighten the belts and adjust the pullies. Possibly even replace belts.
3. Replace the housing fan. The original one seems to have bearing damage and makes a hell of a noise!
3. Clean or replace the extruder.

Est-ce que quelqu'un par ici a déjà imprimé et utilisé une machine à tricoter des chaussettes ? Ça m'intéresserait d'avoir des retours, sur la fabrication, l'utilisation..

Has someone (in Europe) already printed and used this circular sock #knitting machine ? I'd be interested to have feedback and infos about it, and where to buy supplies like needles in Europe.

As you can see, the ribbons go out nicely through the slots BUT the power board (bottom right) doesn't quite fit in the gap (likely I just didn't account for the battery plug when measuring. So, we go again! Prototyping...don't you just love it. (Not at 7 hrs for a print I don't... But at least it prints in a decent time frame!) #3dprinting #Psion Pi.

My first time #3dprinting with supports. It's ingenious what a slicer like Cura can do, isn't it! Not a bad finish, although I think one of the walls is a little thin (I can see the grid lines of infill material. I will live with this though and do a test fit of the bottom half now. Even the dovetail sockets have printed well!
