I may be a mathematician, but I don't think I need to be to know that we can't treat finite resources as infinite

Although this might be slightly the wrong place, but does anyone know of a good reference for mixed models in statistics?

@JordiGH Three days seems to be the norm for my phone. Having said that it probably would be better without Bluetooth and WiFi on all the time. Equally if you turn location completely off it would get better as well as most of the visual effects. That all being said I do have a 4000 mAh battery in the phone...

This putting off marking for one task is not working... Its been three weeks since I started, it should be 4 hours

@gleech at the minute in the office we are finding Daywise quite useful for batching the notifications.

Still marking but today started seeing the end. Down to 30 reports and two documents... Soon the for research and programming

As an update, the exam papers are marked, one assignment down but the others dragging...

IMU Committee for Women in Mathematics now has a newsletter

The first issue of the twice-yearly newsletter from the International Mathematical Union Committee for Women in Mathematics has been published. So its mid semester break and all I have to do is mark about 400 exam papers, 100 reports (from two courses), write class examples and solutions for another, do the data analysis for a paper on not giving students what they want and recode two modules.

Yeah "break"...
