I've in two days and I'm spending my evening building a custom kernel for an almost decade old macbook air.

One of these days I should probably start rethinking my priorities.

Update: The MacBook overheated and shut down, so I spun up a VM on my Thinkpad and built the kernel there. With the freshly built kernel, wifi works and battery life seems to be about 2.5-3.5 hours. Proprietary NVIDIA drivers are working.

@j Did you modify your kernel to get longer battery life?

@mpts No, the only modification was enabling BWN_GPL_PHY to get wifi working.
