Good mornin, and happy American Thanksgiving. Please enjoy the Americans’ “wtf?” reactions to the the phrase “American Thanksgiving” – I look forward to it every year.

Good morning. A bookcase I bought came with a damaged shelf and instead of just replacing the shelf, the company gave me a second bookcase, so I LEGO’d them together into one super-tall bookcase. mastodon.technology/media/jexI

@ashfurrow The weakerthans are great, but maybe you need to branch out a bit? Maybe even listen to a band not from Winnipeg? Crazy talk, I know.

@ashfurrow How about Wintersleep? Also from Canada, also start with W. Might take a bit to get used to after a steady diet of folk-rock.

@bremner there is also, I should mention, quite a long tail of other, non-Winnipeg artists on there :)

@bremner I’ll have you know that Jim Bryson is from Ottawa!

I do need to branch out though. Mostly it’s been due to me learning guitar, and many of John K Samson’s songs. A kind of feedback loop I think. Right now, I’m listening to a lot of his older punk stuff from Propagandhi.

So yeah, time to branch out 😅
