My AI image generation exploration began this evening with an attempt to make a cover image for a event listing. I tried a few prompts, eventually settling on "a diverse group of people enjoying doing maths in a pub".

The results from DALL·E and Craiyon are attached.

DALL·E generated four images in response to the prompt "a diverse group of people enjoying doing maths in a pub". All four images depict a group of people around a wooden table which has beer glasses on it, along with sheets of paper. Most of the people are holding pens or pencils; some are writing. All are smiling or laughing. Two of the images depict someone who is potentially not white.
Craiyon's AI generated images for the prompt "a diverse group of people enjoying doing maths in a pub". There are 9 images, and all depict mostly white people gathered around clean wooden tables in a warmly-lit pub. One person has bright red hair. 5 of the images depict a person who isn't necessarily white. The maths aspect is represented by paper and notepads which people are writing on with pencils. Everyone looks happy, and they are clearly interacting with each other in a lively manner.

@TeaKayB yep, those are the part that’s going to give me nightmares… not sure they’d encourage me to go to a mathsjam. They look closer to zombies than friendly mathmos 😂

@TeaKayB I might actually get to go more now my job isn’t in the classroom! I think @Missradders used to organise it in Leeds? Last time I went someone taught me how to pick a lock…
