After 11 years in Canada, I just realised that Easter actually is serious business? People actually celebrate it?
I didn't grow up with Easter. For me in Mexico, it was some abstract #Catholic ritual about as important as Candlemass, something you only did if you were crazy religious. We don't have bunnies, eggs, chocolate, dinners, or bonnets for Easter.
The biggest impact of Easter for me was that it was the week where all chilangos go to the beaches.
@JordiGH I was raised Catholic in Massachusetts and for us it was all about dipping eggs in food coloring and other dumb stuff. Some of the really religious people went to church but that was about it
