So hard to find a new apartment when owning a cat. Now I understand why on moving day so many people just abandon cats.
Just for this reason, it should be illegal for landlords to discriminate based on pet ownership. It's cruel to the pets.
@hummingrain I mean, just charge me for repairs if my pet damages the property, but let me move in!
Landlords fear cat pee and think it's impossible to clean up. I don't think this is true; I've managed to clean it from a variety of surfaces.

@JordiGH I completely agree - I moved out of the apartment I own because the strata committee wouldn't allow cats.
@JordiGH A ton of landlords discriminate against exotic pets, too. It's not like my reptiles will wreck the carpet, given they stay in their enclosures. But people are afraid of snakes and lizards, so...
