\( \forall x>0 \) we have \(e^x > 1+x\). Now set \(x=\pi/e-1\). Then \(e^{\pi/e-1} > \pi/e\) and so \(e^{\pi/e} > \pi\), thus \(e^{\pi} > \pi^e\)
