@MTBoS @davidwees @ColinTheMathmo Good question. #MTBoS has never really had a consensus logo, and some that exist use T=Twitter instead of T=Teacher, which obviously won't work here.

I was working on logos for a different thing last night. Maybe the mood will strike me over the holiday weekend to attempt one for MTBoS.

@raymondjohnson Let's sneak up on this and make it happen. I'm not, and never have been, a teacher, so it's not really for me, but I'm all for creating a sub-network of people to chat about #maths and #teaching.

I think to have a central account that everyone follows, and who follows everyone in the network. People can follow each other, of course, but having a core account can help. Once the network is established, that can be less important.

From what I can tell you create them by mentioning them for the first time and then they create an account which boosts everything it is mentioned in and can be followed too.
Maybe less necessary now you can follow hashtags, though.

@karenshancock @ColinTheMathmo @raymondjohnson @MTBoS @davidwees having a quick look, gup.pe seems to be a solution for having a central account for everyone to follow without needing someone to maintain that account: mention the gup.pe account and it automatically boosts your post. Immediate thought is "what about spam" but I guess that's true of #tags too. Not sure if it only boosts posts from people who mention AND follow it.

(b) Follow a group on @a.gup.pe to join that group

(c) Mention a group on @a.gup.pe to share a post with everyone in the group

(d) New groups are created on demand, just visit a @a.gup.pe group profile to see the group history

So I don't think it follows you back, it somehow shares the post with you.

The thing to do is create it ... which I'll do now ...
